Our second pre-season game comes tonight and I’ll be looking to see if our shooting looks any sharper than against Tranmere.  I’m hoping to see Grujic get a bit of game time.  He’s been somewhat under the radar but I have a feeling he could be a big player for us in future though he will doubtless need time to settle in.  I’d also like to see the Matip/Lovren combination given more than 45 minutes on the field as it looks like that will be the central defensive partnership to start the season with Sakho injured.  How well we navigate those difficult early matches could depend on how well the pair gel.

I don’t know much about Fleetwood except they are 2 leagues higher than Tranmere so should provide a stiffer test especially to our defence.  By all accounts the pitch is in good condition so there will be no excuse for poor control and passing.

Check out Klopp’s post match interview, he means business this season! He wasn’t overly impressed, especially with the first half, sounds like he’s being really demanding of his players which is great. His English has really come on too.

Love his attitude mate, says it as it is, no bull. I feel these players had it easy under rodgers to an extent, not anymore, klopp will weed out the lazy gits and focus on the ones who really want to play for LFC.

It all starts with the leadership at the top. Without that, the attitudes can go where they want.
It’s clear FSG have seen a stark contrast as well that they decided to tie him down long term and ride him to where they want to go.
It’ll be difficult considering that there are only four teams for CL and probably two, maybe three have staked a “permanent” claim to a spot. Meaning there are another 5-6 teams who are going to compete for 1-2 spots each year.
We NEED to do it this year and build the momentum and become one of the “permanent” fixtures

It’ll be very difficult mate but i feel we have the best chance with klopp at the helm. Vital that we get back to the CL this season, we can see so far in this window how difficult it is to attract top players without CL football. At worst we must get a EL spot but klopp will set his sights a lot higher than that, we can only hope the players do as well.

We do it once, especially this season and it’ll get that much easier (not easy). Wenger won’t be there forever, so they could roller coaster in and out of top 4. (I should just blog about this).
But we are getting to the point financially to compete. LFC for first time ever were valued over one billion, at £1.12. Not bad growth from a purchase price of 300m a few years ago. Financial viability and sustainability will allow us to spend more. Not that we will ever do the Man City and way overpay in fees and wages. But we hit CL once and we will have the money to go along with the lure

Dear friend first would like to thanks kopfans and Jamie for giving me the opportunity to have LFCTVGO as reward . I watched the match and could say the selection are not yet made lack of players who were in France for EURO ,but I saw klopp, who is very motivated with the players he got under hand specially with the academy youngsters . In the 1st half team klopp had used all his new signings and I was very impress with Grujic ,he is young but had shown a maturity in his game, he will need some epl experience but for his 1st game he was excellent . The duo Lovren/Matip cant judge them for the moment they need more time play together and need to have a good opponent in front who could bring trouble in the defense, in that game the Fleetwood team was not too often in our defense area. 2 games 2 win and 2 cleansheet so cant say they were bad but they were not that perfect also. Personally for me I was impressed with Markovich/Grujic tandem and Moreno/Mane ,the 2duo combined very well together on both line, they moved very quick forward with… Read more »
