A great result for hull the other night against manure so this will be a really good test for our lads. We had, imo, a really good result in our last outing as well so really hoping that we’re back up and running and getting back to our early season form. I really do think the team picks itself as i’m reading there’s no fresh injuries and we so we have our best players all fit and available, my team for this game is,

                                                                                                    migs

                                                                             clyne    matip   lovren   milner

                                                                              lallana     hendo    wijnaldum

                                                                              mane       firmino    coutinho

It’s the best we have so let’s get this run in started with a top performance and a winning result away to a tricky opposition, best of luck redmen.

Agree with the team. It’ll be an interesting game, Hull are a different prospect since Phelan left, more resilient. Numerous players from the Liverpool squad have said this week that they know how to play against the smaller teams. This is the perfect opportunity to find out if that’s true.

Why is lucas playing today

Klopp’s stubbornness to not resolve the Sakho situation has cost us competing for the title. Klavan and specifically, Lucas, at CB should not be happening when there’s a left footed international on the books. Hopefully it does not cost us top 4.

Why is off form Can playing instead of in form Georgino. Some Gerrman bias here

why are so many players injured , Emre Can is an Enigma to be solved, what did Gruijic contribute this season, he is injured for a long time now , too many issues to be solved, how many games did Klavan really play, he is injured …. we have got too many corners in last eights games and we have scored too little out of it… at least make use of the opportunities you get when are not able score proper goals …

Another bitterly disappointing result. Defensive stability is killing us. It just piles on more pressure on the attacking players.

we play the top teams with intensity and pace in passing and play well , yet against the lower sides we stroll around and the results are the same losses.

When you’re scoring loads you can get away with letting in the odd goal but we’re not scoring loads and we’re letting in more than the odd goal. We’re not facing one single problem either, we’re facing three: 1) There’s the issue with individual players i.e. we haven’t got a centre forward who scores regularly and our defense and keeper are too error prone. 2) There’s the issue with the team as a whole lacking tempo and urgency in games against non-top six teams. 3) There’s the fact we’ve become tactically predictable i.e. teams know they can sit deep and hit balls over our midfield or try and get corners because of our woeful marking. When Brendan Rodgers hit his final sticky patch he tried everything to change the run of results, so much so in fact the team didn’t know what they were doing (remember the four centre backs?). Klopp is the complete opposite, he’s sticking staunchly to his system in the belief it’ll come good in the end. I can see why he might think that because using that system we’ve played well against top six teams. The problem is it’s not working well against the rest of… Read more »

Many fans are questioning mentality of the players but this form we’re experiencing is simply because of fatigue from lack of depth in the squad and the form of some players, in particular, Daniel Sturridge and players coming back from injury like Clyne, Coutinho. Klopp has missed the trick in strengthening the team and adapting tactically to not play at a full tempo. It’s exciting and entertaining football but we can’t play this way the whole season. We don’t have the right balance tactically between offense and defense because the midfield as a whole is trying to defend and attack at the same time. You need special players to do that sort of thing and it’s just not something we have. Against these lesser teams the tactic is to keep the ball and keep running against the defensive wall but there’s no variation and a lack of a special moment/luck/pin point pass or cross it’s a morale and energy sucking exercise. Too many players aren’t playing well – Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, sturridge, Origi, Can, Clyne and defensive mistakes which seem to be inherent in this team gives the opposition incentive to play on the counter.
