Judging by our transfers that we have signed already and the window is still opened. It appears Klopp is building an attacking machine for the new season which is very positive sign for us when it comes to entertainment…as in heavy metal football… Klopp’s  words and not mine 😀

The worrying side to this is the defense especially the left lack position. I don’t have faith in Moreno and lost count how many times he slipped on the banana skin from last season.  With rumor mills such as Jon Flanagan to be shipped out on loan, Liverpool’s interest in some dude Mario (attacking midfielder) from Portugal that comes with a £60M clause in the contract and you can rule out that one because FSG won’t spend that amount.

Back to Flanno’s case and I hope he turns down the loan move and work hard to get back into the team… Take an inspiration from Jordan Henderson when Rodgers wanted to sell him and Hendo fought his way back into the team. Flanno is a strong defender that can play anywhere in the defense and it would be foolish to ship him out and in my book I rate him above Moreno. Klopp mentioned that Milner can be a cover as a left back which is fair enough… what if he gets injured and along with Moreno on the sidelines? We are screwed there with no cover for both players.

I would like to see Jonas Hector coming in as first choice left back and have Moreno as the cover or push him up as a left winger. Maybe bring in Julian Draxler as one of his wingers than can play either side and foot… plus is an ideal player for Klopp’s attacking machine model. I would love if Klopp bought in Neven Subotic as one of our central defenders… Dortmund rejected £8 M from Middles-borough and how about giving them £10 M for his services?  I would love to have Marco Reus added to the list 😀 I don’t think Klopp will raid his former club for players which is understandable.

The downside to this pre season and transfers are we lost Loris Karius for two months? but it should give Migs a thought that he needs to improve his game and can’t be making anymore of these howlers like last season. I was disappointed to see Joe Allen go but £13 M was a good deal for a player that had 12 months remaining.

The upside is… There’s about £50 M to be made from transfers out such Benteke, Ballotelli, etc and probably one or two more targets to be added to our squad before the window closes. Anyway I am looking forward to the new season with new players as well as the old, Klopp’s antics, etc and most important of all the stress and the comments I see in here with you fellow Supporters.

One more important thing… I am thinking of bringing back Picture This series just to annoy you lot 😛

Totally agree that Flanno should stay. With Smith gone we haven’t even got cover for Moreno let alone anyone to challenge him. Although I think Flanno is better on the right he could provide that cover for Moreno.

Flanno was fantastic on the left during our “nearly” season which i’m sure you remember so i for one would have no worries about him even taking the LB position but as lanno said earlier looks like he’s going out on loan although i haven’t checked that out properly yet.

Totally agree with you on the left back position. Kind of you make you ask how in the world someone like Jurgen Klopp still have faith in Moreno…?

We have more than enough attacking options with Sturridge, Origi, Ings, Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and Lallana. The rest – Balotelli, Markovic, Benteke, Luis Alberto(I may have missed a few) are excess. I like Riccardo Rodriguez for LB, but not sure if Klopp will be willing to spend that much. I haven’t seen Jonas Hector play. While I want Flanno to stay and fight for his place, I think a loan deal where he gets regular playing time after his injury woes is going to help him long term. The more he plays, the more strength and confidence he’ll get and will help him to forget his injury and push on to become the player we all know he can be.
