Well it seems the fate of the Welsh Jesus has been decided. Reports have just emerged from several media outlets that Liverpool have accepted a bid of 13m from Stoke.

A great move by Mark Hughes, he’ll be a big player for a team that’s going from strength to strength.

13m is a fair price, I’m a bit sad to see Joe is leaving but it’s not a huge shock, good luck to him should he choose to leave, you never know he could do a Borini yet!

I think he will be a piece that they will find theyve been missing. Someone to regulate play a little bit with the creative likes of Shaqiri and Bojan around him.
But what I really hope is that Crouch is still there and they stand beside each other with Shaqiri on the other side of Crouch for their team photo.

Exactly what I was thinking. He’ll compliment them well.

Haha that’ll be hilarious, I really hope they do it, I’ll be keeping an eye on the Stoke website now

If Klopp had watched the Euros he might have kept the Weshman Allen and shipped out English midfielders

Good luck to Joe. A pity he didn’t find his recent form earlier in his Liverpool career. I feel less bad about his departure having seen the potential of Grujic who looks like he has a few goals in him from midfield.

It’s not a surprise that Joe is leaving. I think he’ll add alot of quality at Stoke in the middle of the park which they’re lacking. TBH, I’m not feeling thrilled or excited about our transfers. The signings I really like are the young keeper who can definitely challenge Mignolet and a much needed CB in Matip. We paid alot for Mane when we already have so many forward options. Wijnaldum is one transfer that absolutely perplexes me as well. More than anything I’d like to see us sign a top LB. With Flanno also may be going out on loan, I think is a really good thing for him, so he can get game time. Not too sure Warrior will agree with me on that one…

Lol, you know i love flanno mate, i’m sure he’d be a regular starter if he had’nt got that injury that kept him out for so long. I wouldn’t be against him going out on loan so long as it’s just to get him game time and back up to full fitness, i think klopp knows we need some local talent in the team and i’m sure flanno will get back to the player we saw in that 13-14 season.

As a long-term advocate for Allen I’m obviously disappointed he’s leaving but I’m not really surprised. He’s a player at the stage of his career where he needs game time and it was clear Klopp wasn’t going to use him as a regular. Joe could hardly have done more to get regular football though, he performed pretty much every time he played under Klopp and he was selected for the Euro16 team after his displays there.

There is one slight concern I have with Allen leaving. I can remember that season when Rodgers brought in a load of new players in one transfer window and it took quite a while before the team clicked on the pitch once competitive games started. With Kolo being let go, Allen being sold, Skrtel going to Turkey and constant rumours Lucas could be moving too I’m a little bit worried we’re losing the stable or settled elements in the team, the type of characters that the new influx of players will find support in once the pressure really hikes up, and we know at Liverpool the pressure can get quite intense.

I’ve always been divided on allen, he’s a good player but nothing special, he just never replicated the form he showed at swansea with us imo, if he is to leave i’ll wish him all the best but i reckon we’ll survive without his services. I do think he’s a better player than ibe so to be getting a couple of million less for him dosen’t make sense but then again does anything make sense in today’s football world, 100 million for pogba, dear god, crazy stuff.

We should have kept Allen because I rate him above others in our squad and has nothing to do with the Euros. I wish Joe Allen the best with his new club and make it a good one son.
