Due to personal, and financial reasons I ended up not being able to make the ‘payback’ against ***y, and even more guttingly (is that a word? Should be!) the EL game against Manure that saw us progress to the mouth-watering tie against Jurgens’ old muckas Dortmund.
As a result, my next trip to Anfield wasn’t to be until April 2nd, and the visit of Mauricio Pochettinos’ title-chasing Tottingham (sic) Hotspur side.
A match that has a history of the odd goal, or two (5-1 anyone?), expectations were high for a pulsating match. And it didn’t disappoint.
Here are the pix! Enjoy!!
After this match, the signs looked pretty good for the future. Defensively, we still weren’t quite there, but it will happen (especially if we do bag Hummels!!).
But, I don’t think that anything could’ve prepared us for what ACTUALLY lay ahead.
Like I said earlier in this post, the next tour will be the 27th (and final) Anniversary Hillsborough Memorial Service, and after that my next post will be a special on the Hillsborough Tragedy, but on a brighter note, we’ve got the Stoke and Everton tours coming up (Yes, I had to miss the Dortmund match, too. Although I did watch it in the pub!! AWESOME!!! The LFC spirit shining through, again!!).
Anyway, until the next time, YNWA. Always. J4T96-GBNF.x
