Hi All! It’s me, again. Playing catch-up (what’s new there, then!!).
Anyhoo, cast your minds back to February 6th, of this year.
We’d managed to squeeze past Stoke, in the WhateverIt’sCalled Cup (once again on penalties!!), and we’d been held by West Ham in the FA Cup, AT HOME!!! But, it was back to PL action, and after a demoralising 2-0 loss to Leicester, at their gaff, we needed a result in order to try and get our push for Europe back on track.
Our opponents on this occasion were Big Sams’ Sunderland. Caught up, once again in the relegation dog-fight, along with Aston Villa (surely down now!), Norwich City, bitter rivals Newcastle, as well as an underachieving Swansea City side (who have since managed to pull clear of the bottom four), they needed the three points even more than we did.
This match was going to turn out to be notable for several reasons.
Here are the pix! Oh, and look out for a (not-so) special guest, a very special guest, and the most amazing guest, who I never thought I’d bag in a month of Sundays!!
Here we go again!!!
There’s my beauty!!
The inquests are now in their summing up phase. Hopefully, a verdict will be delivered, that makes the final Memorial Service a celebration. J4T96-GBNF.x
Once a KOPPITE!!!
This was two months ago. Can’t wait to see how it looks tomorrow!!!! #kidatxmas
My always superb view!!
Kick-off time. COME ON YOU REDME-E-E-E-NN!!!
Oh, and your matchday programme.
The Muso Block!!!
2nd half underway, and it’s still 0-0, although after a nervy start LFC were the team on top.
Goooooaoaoooal! 59 minutes in and Firmino, with a deft finish from a Milner cross put us 1-0 up!!!
And we didn’t have to wait too long for goal No.2. Lallana on 70 minutes
In protest at a ticket price of £77 pound being brought in, for some of the new main stand seats, a mass walkout was staged. While I agreed with the reasoning, I decided to opt out, and stay put. Thankfully, the protest worked, but how would it affect the lads on the pitch?
I’ll tell you how! We let a two goal lead slip, and were lucky to get a point. And worse still, Adam ‘Kiddie-fiddler’ Johnson scored the their first!!!
Anyway, like I say, we got a point, but at 2-0 up we shoulda been coasting. But voices (and footsteps!) need to be heard, occasionally, to get things done.
I decided to wait around for a bit, after the match.
Took a few pix. As you do!
And it’s a good job I did, too. I give you (not-so) special guest Greg ***, oops, sorry, Dyke!
As well as very special guest, from BBC Footy report team, Guy Mowbray!!
Oh, and some randomer, who just happened to turn up. Only JAMES ‘BLOOMIN’ MILNER!!!!!Yeah, I know. I’m a legend(don’t you mean TART?Ed!)
Anyway, after my worthwhile wait (try saying that 10 times fast!!) it was time to go catch my train home, but there was always gonna be time for one last parting shot.
Anyway, that’s your lot, for now. I will try and get up to date, as soon as, but until next
YNWA. Always. J4T96-GBNF.x
