A visit too carrow road next in the prem, any chance we can recall king luis for this game, i seem to remember he liked this fixture.

Really good performance from the young lads against exeter but are we likely to see any of them during this game, probably not, all our so-called big guns will be drafted back in i feel, i think a couple of the youngsters deserve a starting slot and i’m thinking smith and brannagan in particular, maybe they’ll be on the bench.

I haven’t seen any new injury problems besides our longterm ones so the likes of sakho, toure, hendo, lucas, Can, firmino, lallana should all start this game, i’m wondering will klopp choose milner over ibe? seen that ibe started on wednesday night and also will he play firmino as our number9 and bench benteke? who i think is more affective coming off the bench, i would have ibe and firmino all day long and also start some of the younsters but i aint klopp, unfortunately. Anyway, klopp’s team for tomorrows game might look like this,

migs

clyne   toure  sakho  moreno

lucas

Can      hendo

ibe     firmino   lallana

I say klopp’s team as it wouldn’t be mine too be honest, i’d take lallana out and put tex in, moreno out and put smith in and i’d give one or two others a chance aswell but lets leave it at those two. I know there’s no easy games in the prem anymore but it is one of the less better teams we’re up against here and that’s why i’d give tex and smith a prem start. I’ve given up making result predictions as we just don’t know what liverpool team will show up on the day even though our last two prem performances against arsenal and manure were good ones, more of the same tomorrow please lads.

Suarez’s favorite hat-trick opponent! When are we ever going to see another LFC hat-trick scorer again?? We seem to struggle even trying to score the first goal in EPL

Huytonian

I’m wondering if Lovren will be ready for this one. He said 10 days ago he was nearly ready. Not that I can fault Kolo on his performances recently. I’d start with Ibe but I have a feeling he’ll be on the bench. It’s a difficult selection to call because our games against Stoke and West Ham are in some ways more important since our top 4 finish is slowly disappearing over the hill.

Firm has to score , the only way we can score three points…….
unless we get a goal using a set piece which was eons ago 🙁

Koped49

Got to play with a quick tempo, and press them high up, to get them to make mistakes, need to shoot on sight, if we get an early goal then their heads will drop, and we will hold on to win it 1-0

Huytonian

They have a decent home record so this won’t be easy and they’ve just signed the Blue Nose Naysmith who has a goal in him. We’ll get chances in this game. It’s just a matter of whether we can put a couple of them away and keep a clean sheet at the other end. Time for some of the midfielders to contribute with goals.

Norwich are really giving it to us… we need to wake up

KLOPPite

Are we thinking we want to get outplayed for 75 minutes and then bring on Benteke and smash and grab an undeserved victory?

lanoisseforp

If we gain the three points yes but Norwich would have felt done by like us last Sunday against manure

lanoisseforp

Firmino 1-0 whoo whoo maybe own goal

lanoisseforp

Milner wasn’t quick enough to take his shot

lanoisseforp

we have serious issues with set pieces 1-1

KLOPPite

Are you ******* kidding me? A goal from a corner we don’t clear

KLOPPite

Oh great another corner. We’d been better to let them shoot and have Migs defend the shot rather then the corner

lanoisseforp

2-1 down and to be honest they are playing better than us.

KLOPPite

Lucas had a great view of Naismith making that run to score.
We’ve looked slow and disinterested for 90plus percent of this game so far

KLOPPite

Announcer just said we’ve only taken 8 of our last 24 points. That’s relegation form over a season

DB-99

I hope Klopp makes a change at halftime. Our season is done. This team is **** poor. It’s heart wrenching watching what has become of our team.

HAMNUM8

Not impressed by that half, so slow & the 2 goals poor from our point of view, especially the 2nd. 1 up 2, 2-1 down. Need a big half out the boys so I suggest someone wakes them up.

KLOPPite

Would an *** chewing at halftime do it? Or three subs?

HAMNUM8

Don’t think we like these early kick offs mate, West Ham was the same. So frustrating because Norwich are there for the taking but we don’t seem to have the urgency today.

KLOPPite
Member

Game would probably be over for all intents and purposes IF Milner had any class to finish in the 21st minute shortly after Firminos goal

KLOPPite
Member

He sure did late with his composed finish so good on him

KLOPPite
Member

Is it just me, or when they show Klopp just sitting there, he looks puzzles and flustered, resigned to the fact this team isn’t very good? There’s little animation from him. Maybe the teams lack of movement, press and desire are zapping him

lanoisseforp

Don’t believe it… a penalty

lanoisseforp

by the looks of this… that’s the game over for us 3-1 to the Canaries

lanoisseforp

Well done Hendo 3-2 now come on get the third

sandiphulse

I want what Moreno is smoking, seriously , he is mad …. , as much as I enjoyed that game, the performance is least encouraging

HAMNUM8

Hendo’s goal just proves my point that Norwich are there for the taking but we just seem to want to give them a helping hand

DB-99

I’m sick of Jordan Ibe. he’s hopeless. Moreno.. what were you thinking???

KLOPPite
Member

Exactly. Built his rep in youth games on pace and physicality. That isn’t enough at this level and his final ball is consistently poor at best and doesn’t Happen at all at worse.

lanoisseforp

Lallana Replaces Ibe

lanoisseforp

3-3 whoo whoo Firmino

KLOPPite

Fabulous counter attack! Great run by Lallana that Ibe wasn’t making, and a nice pass to Firmino. Great control touch by Firmino and finish.

HAMNUM8

Don’t **** it up…… Again please. Let’s **** everyone off & get the win

4-3 Milner whoo whoo what a comeback

KLOPPite

Strangest game ever. Up 1-0. Down 1-3. Up 4-3.

HAMNUM8

Your not wrong there mate but I’ll take it if we get the 3 points.

KLOPPite

Have you ever seen a team play this poorly on the road at this level, and score four?

HAMNUM8

Nope, think we’r very lucky norwitch are so poor.

KLOPPite

Brace from Firmino and two goals from midfield: Hendo and Milner. Norwich, a cure for what ails us. Nice to score four here in the post-Suarez era.

lanoisseforp

Caulker replaces Moreno and goes into the defense

KLOPPite

Fitting

lanoisseforp

I don’t ******* believe it 4-4

KLOPPite

Have you been watching this game? One should totally believe it. Its the Twilight Zone

KLOPPite

Caulker, Can and Sahko all watch and no one attacks the first ball

DB-99

to be fair Sakho went for it but missed it. Everyone else failed to react

KLOPPite

lanoisseforp

Klopp’s glasses broken in celebration. He won’t need them to see how poor we were defensively

lanoisseforp

They’d lock you up if you’d predict such a thing

Koped49

Real need to sort the defence out.

HAMNUM8

At least klopp doesn’t try to paper over the cracks. He said our defending was rubbish, I’d probably use different words. You could say the game was a good advert for the premier league but I think Sunday league football is about right. Semi final 2nd leg up next & after that game at least they will be in a positive mood.

5-4?!? ***?!?!? OMG!!!!!
Cannot believe this! Mind you they have proven to be quite scoring games, but STONE ME!

Great result but awful performance. Tiredness could not have been an excuse as the outfield players all had the week off. We’ve had a problem all season winning the second ball in and around our box and we lost two goals today because of that. Credit to Firmino who has 4 goals in 3 games and to Lallana who did well as a sub but the rest cannot be happy with their performances. Very lethargic and they didn’t start to compete until 3-1 down. We will need to do much better if we are to overcome Stoke, West Ham and Leicester in our next 3 games.

Musicman71 aka Muso

I wouldn’t say that it was an awful performance, but the defending was once again shambolic.
Loved the celebration at the end, though. Apparently, Klopp’s not gonna make Benny or Lala pay for his new spex!!

RedUncle

There’d been criticism before this game about the midfielders not helping with the scoring so I don’t think it’s completely coincidental that Milner, Henderson and Lallana ended up on the score sheet, they may have been told to take more opportunities themselves rather than looking for a forward.

Our defensive situation just leaves me speechless. Norwich knew we’d be poor which was why they kept looking for set pieces around our area to exploit. We duly obliged. Klopp himself said we were rubbish at set piece defending, although he reckons we don’t need knew signings. The question is what do we actually do about it? Personally, I don’t think the defenders we have in the squad are as bad as some think, and we need to look at our team defending as a whole also, but if we don’t sort something out soon any progress we make in midfield and attack will just be undone by the defence.

cfleejb
Member

Liverpool on course to concede over 60 goals this season? I don’t know whether to celebrate or weep over this Norwich result! Until we learn to handle set pieces, corners and stop habitually concede 3 goals or more, we don’t really deserve champs league football nor top 4…

KLOPPite
Member

Don’t worry because if we keeping doing such we won’t get top 4 and there won’t be a question of whether we deserved it

Musicman71 aka Muso
Member

I think that the most important thing is that we keep scoring. Sure, the defence needs tightening up, big time (new goalie?), but a win’s a win. I’m just happy that we’ve got our first three pointer of 2016 on the board, at last.
