Thank god yet another international break is over, now back to what we all love best, the prem lge and a visit from spurs.

Yep, dosen’t get any easier folks but we do have a great record against them at home, we’ve beat them 4 out of the last 5 if i’m not mistaken so we should in no way fear them just because their fighting for the title. A great chance to go into the dortmund game full of confidence by beating a title contender and also putting that awful result against the saints firmly behind us.

As for the team, i’ve not seen any reports of any injuries as regards the international players so we’re good to go in that regard, lucas is just back training so this game may be too soon for him but other than that i think klopp has a full squad to pick from. For me, we pick our strongest team possible as the dortmund game is 5 days later which should be ample time for the players to rest and the fact its only a skip over too germany helps so with this in mind my team for this game would be,

migs

clyne   lovren  sakho  moreno

Can   hendo

coutinho

milner   studge    lallana

I was tempted to put Origi in instead of studge but i’d be happy with either, i’ve read moreno is available so i reckon he’ll get the nod, you all know i’d rather flanno in there and maybe klopp will choose him, all depends on moreno’s fitness i suppose. A tough game but a good challenge and a win would set us up nicely for the dortmund game but i’m predicting a score draw, best of luck redmen.

Hi warrior mate thank Fowler the international break is over, and back to the nitty gritty of the prem. You are right about Firmino, not sure what happened there but he’s not available for this one. My preference would be Origi instead of Sturridge. Origi just seems to want it more at the moment. I think we will do well to get anything from this one. I think they will score (Kane) who else? But I think we will score 2. Coutinho and Origi. Come on redmen let’s see a final push to the end of the season and see where it takes us. YNWA.

You surprised me when you said you’d pick the strongest team, and then you put in Moreno. You feeling okay?
I’d love to beat them, which will help attain my target for the team this season. I want us ahead of the Uniteds…Manchester and West Ham.

I’d go with Warrior’s team if Firmino isn’t fit. I’d be tempted to put Origi ahead of Sturridge but he came home early from the international break after picking up an injury and even if he is fit again it may be better not to risk him with Dortmund coming up on Thursday.

I think you could be right with Origi, save him for Dortmund.

I don’t know how this would be possible but I’m interested to see what you guys think. I am or was a big fan of Martin Skrtel until his recent fopars. I am wondering if he has a detrimental effect on the whole defense. The reason I am saying this is because of Moreno. When Skrtel doesn’t play Sakho plays better which in turn allows Moreno to play further forward which is his better position. Moreno is a different player when he is going forward and against spurs it should stop their full back marauding forward. With Lovren playing much better I think we just might keep a clean sheet.

Confirmed #LFC team v Spurs Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Milner, Lallana, Coutinho, Sturridge.
As good as we could hope for with the injuries we have, Origi on the bench with Skrtel, Allen, Smith. Would have liked to have seen Ojo on the bench. Come on redmen YNWA.

Let’s take away their chances of winning the PL and put Leicester in the driving seat.

Unlucky Milner and the Count with their attempts.

Jeese Migs…. don’t do that again with the fancy kick out.

Silly Coutinho for diving and getting booked

Sturridge should had buried that one…. wasted opportunity to have taken the lead.

Unlucky Lallana and great save by their keeper.

Jeese another great save from their keeper.

I think Sakho has left his footballing brain back in France. Could Coutinho have the most PL bookings for diving this season? I reckon a single goal either way could win this match.

Riveting first half. Both top class strikers had an opportunity and didn’t convert.
We are making some mistakes defensively, but have done a good job recovering which is good to see.
We all need to act as strong as Can and not be pushed off the ball as much as has happened.
Lallana with a more involved first half and created some chances and forced saves.
All-in-all a solid first half and the game is on a razor’s edge. Stay tuned for more excitement in the second.
Match will probably come down to someone punishing a mistake, or a moment of class.

I missed both goals because I was distracted and was elsewhere.

That’s it 1-1 each and Spurs have a good team. Next stop is in Germany away to Dortmund next Thursday night and a game I am looking forward to and Klopp is going home for a few days.

The draw was probably a fair result, both sides had chances and both sides were not infallible at the back. They both play in a similar way and they looked knackered by the end. Not sure what the ref was on though, made loads of strange decisions.

A good, very competitive game and a fair result. Spurs had more of the ball but we had the better chances. Two outstanding goals. I think we would have lost that game earlier in the season.

Sakho was awful in the first half but he was better in the second. Sturridge did very little but he did set up Coutinho’s goal. Our two best players were Lovren and Coutinho. I was a bit worried looking at the disparity in height between the teams when we were defending corners. Hopefully Klopp will address that in the summer.

Lallana also deserves a mention, he worked hard and was unlucky on a couple of occasions. Can also did well. Motm has to be Lovren he covered Sakho a few times. Cou is so special we need to tie him to the club for the next 10 years with a 100Mil buyout clause.

Totally agree about the count, defo need to tie him down,

Totally agree about the count, defo need to make sure we give him a long contract, and yep big fee if anyone try to steal him

I’ve just read (not sure how accurate this is) that Emre Can now gets a two match ban for getting his tenth yellow card of the season. If that’s correct it’s a bit of a pain.

RedUncle

I’ve just read confirmation: ‘Emre Can’s booking yesterday was his 10th of the season. He is suspended for Stoke (h) and Bournemouth (a).’

Didn’t get to see the second half. Was my halftime prediction right on both counts…a moment of class AND a mistake would determine the game?
A moment of class by Coutinho to take the lead and a mistake by us to concede the equalizer?

Huytonian

Their equaliser was more a brilliant finish by Kane than a mistake by us though Lovren did allow him to turn and shoot. Even so it was a very tight angle and the shot had to be powerful and inch perfect to beat Mignolet and find the inside of the side net. Otherwise Lovren had a good game.

Sakho had a very bad game, he was out of position most of the times and made lovren’s life tough, Kudos to Lovren, it was a rock solid performance by him, the passing accuracy that we saw against Man City has reduced, probably because Spurs play the same style and they want to win the ball and there was very less space to operate, our attacking was good once it got past that midfield, if Sturridge was in form, it would have been a different game, hopefully Sturridge , Count and Firm will all play against Dortmund… it’s not that scary as people and media are making it be against Dortmund, I for one think we can grind a victory against a Dortmund….
