Heart rate is just about back to normal after that crazy game yesterday, great result seen that we were 3-1 down at one stage, brilliant, well done lads.

Should we consider this game our biggest one so far this season? I do, simply because there’s a final at wembly at stake, one up from the first leg which was a great result at the britannia where stoke are a very tough outfit to beat. Considering there’s a wembly final at stake i can’t see klopp making many changes to the team that started yesterday. I would drop moreno and play smith but other than that i think we’ll see the same starting 11, as far as i know we haven’t any fresh injuries after yesterday’s game so it’s as you were really imo,

migs

clyne  toure  sakho  smith

lucas

Can     hendo

?     firmino    lallana

I put a ? there as i’m not sure whether klopp will go with milner or ibe, ibe was’nt great yesterday and milner had one of his better games i felt so maybe he will stick with milner.

I’m not only hoping that we make this final but i’m hoping that everton can beat city aswell on wednesday night, how great would it be for the city and both sets of supporters to have an all merseyside cup final at wembly once again, the very best of luck to us and our local rivals, if there is a god we’ll meet at wembly in may.

I hope you are right on all counts mate. What a final that would be, but one game at a time. Stoke seem to be leaking goals as well so this could be another basketball game although I’m not expecting it to be. It needs to be Milner on the right, Ibe was really poor yesterday and Milner was much better than he has been lately. Your selection does me

It would be nice to tie the game up early so that we can see some more of the young lads, to see how they cope with a tough prem team. That won’t happen though, I expect this and the Everton game to go to the wire.

Yes mate I am not expecting any less than strongest first 11s

Definitely the first choice team for this one, With 4th place looking highly unlikely, the League Cup is our best chance of silverware. I don’t think Liverpool ever do anything the easy way so I can see extra time and even penalties in this one, though I have a feeling we will somehow get through. Hope I’m wrong and we win at a canter. I’m wondering if Lovren will be back as I’m worried about Kolo playing too many matches.

I think Klopp will start with Milner purely for his experience in big matches, Mark Hughes has rested his ace players in their last game, clearly they want to attack us on all grounds, we just need to keep calm, we can see through this … common reds….

I still can’t figure out Caulkner’s role in the past few appearances, If Flannagan is fit to start a game he should… his spirit will be much needed in these kind of games…..

I think Kolo will get a rest, and there will caulkner as a starter together with Sakho.
also Lovren is likely to be present, so we’ll see. however CLyne is is doubt, so maybe Flanno gets his chance from beginning.
benteke will maybe be a starter too, because of high balls and setpieces against us.
firminho get a rest to be ready for WHU this weekend.

Clyne in doubt and on the treatment table. By all accounts Lovren is of treatment and ready. We will have to wait and see. Need a good side out as it would be nice to get a trip to Wembley, could be a great day out if both Mersey side team make the final.

If Clyne misses out it looks like Flanno will start. There is a suggestion that Lovren will start on the bench. Maybe if Flanno needs to be subbed Lovren would come on and Kolo would move to right back. For Stoke, Shawcross is injured and that is a big loss for them.

Agree with you mate ,tonight game is so far the more important game for this season ,its a small final before reaching the D-Day at Wembley and if god wants to make our wish come true , we could met our dearest toffees with a Merseyside derby, and LFC win the cup ,hahaha! klopp made this cup final his goal and target to save the season(its a place for the Europa cup). My team would be, with Clyne injured and Kollo not at his best, klopp could play Flanno on RB and Lovren with Sakho CD. The manager could made some change with players who play all the last 3match. Migs. Flanno – Lovren – Sakho – Moreno. Hendo – Lucas – Can. Ojo – Benteke – Lallana. Klopp had started the last game in Norwich in 4-3-3 ,and in the 2nd half he brought out Hendo and move Can back in a 4-2-3-1. There are some players who cant play 3games in a row ,their perf are not the same as Kolo , Firmino , Ibe . There are some who had impress in last games such as Ojo , Allen and Smith . Stoke is a very strong… Read more »

Biggest game of the season for me tonight & I can’t wait to see what unfolds (a trip to Wembley I hope). Heard clyne may miss out tonight with a knee problem so the local legend Flanno may get the nod. I expect a strong team & lallana to come in for Ibe. I was very impressed by our performance & especially our work rate in the first game it’s just a shame the goals for wasn’t greater because we deserved it but that’s been part of our season. Now the dreaded corners/set piece situation against probably the worst team to play if you’ve got a problem in that area, so I’ll probably be behind the sofa whenever we concede one. We done extremely well in keeping both shaquri & bojan quiet in the first which was key so more of the same. If we play like we did in the first leg with a bit more accuracy we’ll be fine. Just don’t start slow. Come on Redmen Wembley awaits.

Not a very good half from us at’ll we don’t seem at it, Stoke have played well but we’ve wasted possession so many times. Need to liven up big time.

Henderson’s been surprisingly poor, Moreno just seems to go where he wants (does he understand formations?). All looked very hesitant and nervy. We just don’t play well on the back foot.

HAMNUM8

Hope we don’t start getting desperate from the off because we’ll play straight into their hands. They’ll be looking to counter us pretty much what they done in the 1st half

HAMNUM8

At least we look more of a threat with Benteke on now albeit not that much. Extra time now, this game is doing my head in. Lucas for me has been the only plus & Flanno on his return has been steady. Moreno is really starting to annoy me of late.
