Very disappointing result against leicester, they sure got their revenge on us after beating them at xmas, i really hope they go on to win the lge but i do think it’s city who will eventually lift the prem lge cup.

Sunderland up next and always a tough game against a team fighting a relegation battle and lets be honest, no team fears coming to anfield this season but klopp is doing his best to work on that, we just need the players to do the same.

Onto the team for this game. I really want to see klopp giving some of the youngsters a lge start, we’re not winning the lge or getting into the top4 so why not give them a chance to prove themselfs in the lge. I’m all for giving tex and smith a start in this one and i want to see flanno start on the right, let’s give clyne a rest, have him, lallana and moreno on the bench. Has allen played his way into a start, i think so, he’s showing some good form of late and hopefully has turned a corner in his LFC career but i won’t hold my breath on that one. My team for this game would be,

migs

flanno  sakho  lovren  smith

lucas

allen          hendo

milner   firmino     teixiera

Not too sure on the fitness of hendo, if he’s unavailable then Can comes in, as far as i know everybody else is fit. Two games coming up against teams fighting relegation, this one and villa, we really have to be looking at 6points but like i said earlier, always tough playing teams fighting for their prem lge lives so i won’t be making a prediction here other than to say we’ll win, lol.

Borini will try to impress against his former club!!

I agree Allen could start though I’m not sure who he replaces as none of the central 3 performed on Tuesday. I too would like to see Smith start but I think Clyne will keep his place and Flanno will come in against the Hammers. Surprised Flanno was not named in the Europa squad or Smith – Clyne and Moreno our only full-backs named – strange!

Migs

Flanno Calulkner Lovren B Smith

Lucas Allen Can

Ojo teixiera

Firminho

Bench – Benteke, Ibe , Sakho etc

I think Hendo is clearly struggling from pain, we can see that , we don’t want to risk him , I personally want to see Ojo teaming up with Firm, they are going to look for set pieces, not that I don’t trust Sakho but give it a shot with Caulkner , he looks like someone who has more clearing ability than Sakho and could be useful when heading a goal while LFC is trying to get something out of corners and set pieces….

Might sound a bit weird but I’d take Hendo out and put Benteke in. A front 3 of Texeira, Benteke, Firmino and Lucas, Allen and Milner in midfield. Benteke needs games and confidence and a shot at staking a claim for his spot in the team. we’ve paid big for him, this PL season is going nowhere so no point in sticking him on the bench. We’ve been toothless with Firmino upfront in the past few games I think we haven’t scored in 3 or 4 games now? Tbh I’m still gutted about our position and the players we have at the moment especially after spending so much money.

Well if it isn’t the ticket prices then the team’s performances either way there’ll be a walk out from Anfield.

What the hell?
Any short review? Just saw the scoreline. Sunderland took more than deserved?

2-2 is the final outcome and what a waste of throwing away the points. Disappointing result.

The walk out may have distracted the team? Don’t know but it doesn’t matter and being 2-0 up was enough to claim all three points but credit to Sunderland for clawing back.

How come the other fans stayed in after the Walk out? Tourists? Customers?

Mignolet being beaten at his near post from a set piece and Sakho being bullied by little Defoe – this wasn’t caused by any walkout, it’s just a continuation of our dire defending. Quality cross from Milner for the first goal though.

Mignolet …i have no words to express!!
Sakho ..now him i have words..but wont use them here..
He is a liability, makes the back line feel very shaky, yes he has made some very important blocks but her thats what he is supposed to do..
This goal he decided way too early that he was going to latch onto defoe and not challenge for the ball thats why defoe got away from him……i may get slack for this but i say sakho out, migs out next season…

Atmosphere was great at 2-0 before the walkout and went flat after.
Team responded almost like they felt THEY were abandoned, NOT FSG.
Raise the price from £77 to £97 so those who feel like it’s okay to abandon YOUR team (always claim it is supporters and not owners) can just stay home.
Players don’t need that kind of negative treatment that does more to harm them than to affect owners who have already been paid for the ticket to this game.

Get it in perspective. We have given away leads this season when we’ve had full stadiums, it didn’t need a walkout for us to do that again. We let in a goal from a set piece – hello? Have we done that before? More times than I can remember. Defoe ran rings around Sakho for their second – that’s hardly an isolated incident. If the walkout did affect the players, and it was only about a quarter of the stadium that left, it just shows what a brittle spirit there is within this squad. It also proves what a powerful asset the local support is and it’s about time FSG valued it as such. Numerous past players have congratulated those who walked out, in fact Jamie Carragher was one of those who left on the 77th minute.

No doubt the team has been wobbly most of the season. All the more reason they need every advantage the fans could give them.
Tell me they didn’t look deflated when the supporters left them

I daresay it hardly registered, they would’ve been more preoccupied with Sunderland trying to score against them. They were well aware the walkout was going to happen, and when, so it was no surprise to the team, they knew it wasn’t an action against them personally. Jordan Henderson even said after the match the walkout had nothing to do with the result, it was their inability to stay switched on for the full ninety minutes. How many times this season have Liverpool gone two or three goals up, sat back to protect their lead and then conceded? Too many times and this game was no different. It was individual mistakes that led to the result, not the walkout. Mignolet misplaced his wall and then failed the stop a shot he really should’ve. Sakho allowed Defoe to turn and get a shot off even though he was stood right next to him. I’ve yet to hear one commentator or ex-player blame the walkout for these errors, probably because Liverpool have been making them all season, walkout or no walkout.

Disappointed with the result our play deserved all three points. We just can’t seem to get any luck with injuries this season. Allen was once again having a good game and Lovren was doing ok. I’m sure that without the injuries we would have seen Sturridge come on at some point. I’m hoping we will see Sturridge starting sooner rather than later, what a boost that would be. Hopefully he will start versus the hammers in the cup.

Well you can’t blame the fans that walked out, they weren’t playing. These guys were two up and threw it away, they defended like school kids, we either do t score, or we let the opposition gain a foot hold, even when the don’t deserve it. We need a spine in the team which is always a keeper, a central defender, and a striker if those position have class players in them, then the rest of the team even only decent players, will play better, just look what happened when we had Pepe, carra, Steve g and luis. The rest rallied round these players and worked T their game,

sandiphulse

we should have just continued possession and attacking football that is the best way to hold on to our lead it , considering the Keeper and world class defenders we have, the Norwich game was also a prime example for that, right now I don’t think we can fix this, a CB and a GK is a must buy in the summer…..

Apparently Mignolet has cost us 15 points in the PL… if that is not alarming I don’t know what is…

Realspanishred

Sandiphulse that’s probably a direct 15 points, he’s probably cost us a lot more indirectly, (not coming for crosses etc). He is not good enough and has to be our No2 or sold asap.
