A good chance here to get back to winning ways. Sunderland have won their last two so they’ll be confident so we must be careful and take our chances. I would love to see studge start and i would sacrafice Can to make room for him, so with just the one change it’s basicaly as you were against the saints,

                                                                                     Clyne   Matip       Lovren    Milner

                                                                                      Wijnaldrum    Hendo      Coutinho

                                                                                         Mane        Studge      Firmino

Best team we’ve had in years IMO and should be more than enough to get all 3points on saturday.

I’m confident about this one. Klopp has had a week on the training ground to put right any issues from the draw at Southampton – not that there was too much wrong other than our finishing. Moyes is threatening to park the bus but he hasn’t good a good track record at Anfield and this must be the worst team he has brought to L4. I’m not saying there couldn’t be a shock but it shouldn’t happen.

Sunderland have got a lot of injuries which is probably why Moyes is threatening to park the bus (in fact, he said the ‘double decker bus’ so he means it). If they attack us we should run rings around them and if they sit back I don’t think they’re defensively strong enough to keep us out. Like at Southampton our biggest enemy could be ourselves, we’ve got to capitalise on the chances we’ll definitely have. What worries me about playing teams in Sunderland’s position is there could be loose tackles flying around.

I haven’t seen the game but listened to the radio commentary and it was a really gutsy win. We had to be patient and finally got our reward. We’ve dropped points so often in similar matches in the past but there seems to be a new resolve this season. It was nice to see young Ben Woodburn getting a few minutes at the end. He’s such a talent and only just turned 17. The only downside was the injury to Coutinho which we must hope is not as serious as it looked.

The problem for Klopp will be the closeness of the fixtures over December. It’ll only take another injury to one of our attacking players and things could look ominous. That goal will do Origi the world of good though and couldn’t have come at a better time. At least Moyes had the decency to warn us in advance that he was going to shut us out, I suppose.

Today’s game had me at the edge of my seat with animation and frustration even though I was watching it on the PC but it will would the same if I was using a ladder and watching the game outside Anfield. Origi finally broke the deadlock with an amazing goal and Milly to tie it up from the penalty which was one in the first place. Up to about 70 mins in the game Klopp had to get the fans to urge the team on and it was a sad thing to see and it brought me back to the West Brom game last season. To those are sitting on the fancy seats at the Main stand need to realize Klopp is a very passionate Manager and for whatever sake… let your voices be heard to support the team… No wonder the Kop End is the best which can be heard all the time. As for the Count’s injury… it’s worrying. I have no idea how long he will be out but I hope he will be fit sooner rather than later because we’re going to lose Mané in January for his part in the AFC. I hope Firmino’s injury… Read more »

Klopp says Coutinho’s ankle was giving him less pain at halftime than when the incident happened on the pitch, which is encouraging. Coutinho left the stadium on crutches with his foot in a protective boot, something that is pretty standard with ankle injuries these days.

Wish Sturridge starts Saturday and we win. But I believe that we will not be champs in May and maybe even out of top four! Team that seemed unbeatable last month, is now giving up points to whomever they play. Can’t play in inclement weather, needs another number 10 to complement Coutinho (Lallana needs a foil), back four is regressing not progressing, team has little or no heart (can’t hold on to a lead), and Moreno is still on the team! IMHO, too much to cover in January with Jurgen’s dislike of overspending on mediocrity. Oops, I forgot the two wingers to complete the team. Last but definitely not least, is there any discord in the ranks? Their public pronouncements say one thing but their play of late says something else. Hope Jurgen’s middle initials aren’t B and R. Later gator (showing my age). YNWA!
