Basicaly the start of our season folks, i know nothing of tranmere and nothing about the team klopp might select although i’m sure it’ll be a mix of the first teamers and the kids. Sickened for Can tonight, he’ll be devastated but on a selfish note he’ll be back injury free and that’s all we care about. Anyway, i expect a win in this game to get our pre-season of to a good start, 1-3.

Really excited as this spells the start of proper football, I’m not a big fan of international and really can’t wait to see the reds in action.

I have a really good feeling about this season, trying not to get carried away lol

The summer is flying by and that means the PL will start before we know it.
Anyone going to Wembleu to watch us play Barca summer in the international champions cup?

Good news. Klopp has signed an extension which will keep him at the club until 2022 I believe, replacing the original three year plus option for a fourth contract that he had

Tranmere are now a Conference side so should not be a stern test but they have been back in training a week longer than Liverpool so may be fitter. I would expect two different Liverpool teams in each half. The 12 players who went to the Euros are unavailable as are Coutinho and Ojo. Nevertheless, prior to Klopp’s anticipated cull there are still plenty for him to pick from.

Team to face Tranmere: Karius, Flanagan, Lovren, Matip, Smith, Lucas, Branaggan, Ejaria, Kent, Firmino, Mane

Strong lineup and a good luck at the new signings.

Balotelli not in the squad at all, pretty much confirms he’ll be leaving.

I’ve only seen the match highlights but the players that mostly caught the eye were Mane, Markovic and Ings. Mane’s pace is going to be a real plus this season, Markovic looked creative so it’ll be interesting to see whether he stays or goes, and Ings looked eager and surprisingly sharp given the amount of time he’s been out. Of course, it’s only a preseason match so we can’t get carried away but Klopp definitely had some encouraging signs.

I thought the established players (with the exception of Mane and Ings) treated the match like a training session while the youngsters treated it as an audition. As a result the players that impressed me were Ejaria, Alexander-Arnold aged 17, Woodburn aged 16 and Randall. I thought Matip looked nervous at first but settled down while Mane was lively and looked to be forging a good relationship with Firmino. Ings looked as fit as anyone and deserved his goal. There was no chance to judge Karius as he had no saves to make though he looked confident with the ball at his feet. We should have won by a hat full but clearly these triple training sessions don’t yet include shooting practice!

Except a few matches, the Euros were boring , is this the season where Arsenal might miss out on that fourth position, City and Man Utd are having a good transfer window already but Klopp has made some sensible additions already and more to come, we still need an LB, Firminho needs to loose weight 😉 , we are all set to go,…. common reds

It was 0-1 Warrior but it was better then BR’s start. I wish the virus or whatever I have on my laptop will allow me the privilege of writing my own posts not just commenting on others.
