Happy New Year Kopfans! Boy they’re coming thick n fast at this time.  It must be a grind for the players but I’m loving all this football, especially in this whirlwind season both in terms of results, increased competition and the little stories developing through every team.  It’s a bit hard to pick a lineup with all the injuries we have in the team.  This fixture’s going to be a tough one but we owe West Ham for the loss at Anfield.  A key in this game is that we have to keep fighting and be more clinical.  A huge positive is that we may see Sturridge return.  Hopefully Hendo’s injury isn’t too bad.  Our team lacks energy and quality when he’s out.  Dmitri Payet looks set to return for them and he’s been their source of inspiration.  Hopefully the lack of match fitness will hinder him a bit but I think Lucas should be good enough to mark and nullify him.  Here’s my lineup:

Clyne    Lovren    Sakho   Moreno

Lucas  Can

Lallana    Firmino   Coutinho

My hope is we can start well and take our chances with our best team and then we can use the bench to revitalize the team.

Think I would give Ibe a go, stretch the width a bit to create gaps for the front runners to exploit the open areas. But again will be a tough game, there are no easy games now, and I agree we need to be more clinical when chances come along, we need to put them in the net.

I would take lallana out, he’s been awful now for a while and maybe needs a rest, put ibe in there and that’s the team i think klopp will go with, be great to start the new year the same way we ended this one, we should have momentum, we should have confidence but our inconsistency is a problem as we all know.

P.S, Happy new year mate 😀 😀
