I think the less said about lastnight’s game the better, job done, top of the group and 2nd leg of the next round at anfield. Back to the prem now and a visit from the baggies. Great to see the count back lastnight so i think he will start on sunday which firmino will be delighted with as he looks a better player when the count is on the pitch but he’s in a run of poor form right now so not too sure he’ll start. Hendo back up and running now as too Can so they start aswell. The only option i’m really stuck on is the striker, benteke or Origi??? for me, it’s Origi, he’s starting to show some good form and his pace and movement is far better than benteke, i think benteke is much better coming off the bench, our supersub if you will. My team for this game would be,

migs

clyne   skrtel   lovren   moreno

Can    lucas    hendo

lallana    coutinho

Origi

We badly need to get back on track in the lge and put that newcastle result firmly behind us but we all know how poor we’ve been at home lately and that needs too change bigtime aswell. I feel we’ll get 3points here but i’m looking for a big improvement in our home form, we have to start giving the anfield crowd something to shout about.

Even if i do agree on the striker issue, in this case I would prefer Benteke being a home game as we will need aerial flick ons since we’ll be settled mostly in the opposition’s half, what needs to change is either AMF have to step into the box a lot more and take advatage of these flick ons. Of course if it was me i’d use both Origi and Benteke up front at home games. For me it’s the only way to open up tight defences. It will give defenders another man to mark and give Coutinho or Lalana or Firmino or who ever is playing behind them space to carry the ball

I think Benteke will start purely because he has had a rest this week and it’s asking a lot for young Origi to start a second game in 4 days. No doubt Origi will come on as a sub hopefully to play alongside Benteke. Not sure if Ibe will be recovered from his illness but he would be another option in place of Lallana in your team.

Tony Pulis has a decent record against us when he was manager of Stoke and Palace. I expect a hard game against a solid defensive team tomorrow and hopefully Klopp will unlock their safe and stick a few in for us to claim all three points.

LFC, please win, I have humiliated a Manure fan too much last night….

it will be similar to the swansea game, however we have to focus on corners and free kicks, if we could convert them and get an early goal.

Prediction : 3 – 1

Well with the negative results of the top table teams last week LFC should had done better but watching and knowing the quality of the players who was line up ,imo, Klopp had underestimated his opponents, may be he thought the german leagua and EPL are the same, but he was wrong and at the end we saw if we had got the win against NC we should be facing closer to top4 on the table , personally I would like if Kloppo and Co do their homework properly and put in his mind that in EPL there are not weak teams (like in other country leagues) , but in EPL they are less good . Tonight hope he done his homework and will line up a better team who could win this home game . We noted the coming back in the starting line up of , Couti , Hendo who played 70mins in the Europa game, Skrtel , Lucas , Moreno and BigBen who was rested or on the bench. Kloppo said, in 2 weeks he will get the whole LFC squad fully fit at his disposal ,with Sakho, flanno, Ibe and stud in the 1st team training… Read more »

Hello people not been able to post for a bit been busy.
So a home game against an away playing Tony’s pulis team ummmmmm I wonder what to expect from this game……
Good choice to play benteke in this game because I think we may have to come down to level at times & he gives us a great outlet, when used properly, I.e crosses & missing out the bus with direct balls into him & feeding off him. Don’t think this will be pretty, hope I’m wrong but 3 points needed today & hopefully a better home performance. Good luck Redmen.

2 points dropped today but it’s better than losing all three. We’re still jinxed on conceding goals from set pieces and migs made a huge error with the first one. We lost out on great chances to win the game by hammering them.

Lovern injury was horrific and I don’t know should the West Brom player have been red carded. It was a relieve to get the equalizer in the closing 8 minutes of time added on. Klopp got the home crowd going to help our lads to find the equalizer.

A point earned from today puts us at 9th in the PL above Everton by a point and behind West Ham on goal difference.

Next stop is away to Watford and unbelievably it falls on a Sunday the third time in a row. If we can win the next one we’ll over take Watford to take 7th place.

Amazingly if all four London teams lose their next games Watford, West Ham, Palace and Spurs… then we’ll take 5th place. A slow journey to the top four.

I personly loved this game, there was lot of heart in the performence , typical tony pulis team, they were literally hugging bigben , the first goal we conceded could have easily been defended , migs scares me a lot at times

Well one nil up, did all the hard work and then conceded to throw it away, we had enough opportunities to have won this game, but had to fight hard to get the draw in the end, and all down to inept defending. They really need to get in some big defenders and fire in ball from every where, and get our guys learning how to defend.. If they can’t do it then we need to get ones in that can. Goods news is Sakho is in training again so hope it’s not to long before he gets fit and back into the side. Lovern did not look to good going off on a stretcher, but see what the scan says, may be just a bad gash, which is easy to stitch up, providing there are no tendons, ligaments or muscle damage.

I missed the game today but have watched/heard/read the highlights and reactions. A bit bewildered by Klopp’s actions by citing the atmosphere pre-game, encouraging the crowd during the game and taking the players to the kop end at the end. I can understand it’s been a tough week, playing on Thursday, staying the night and coming back on Friday and playing today. With the injuries in the squad and I don’t know why he took a strong team to Sion but nevertheless I think these actions lead me to believe that he wants to show the fans that he is ready and has accepted the club and it’s ambitions but the team isn’t ready yet. Perhaps we have to take disappointment on the chin for the next season, probably 2 and give him the time to build the team. It’s a shame though, because the so-called top teams aren’t performing and in such a strange season we find ourselves where the title is up for grabs. We haven’t reached the halfway point yet and things don’t look to be settling into a rhythm of where top teams go on a run and daylight starts to show amongst the top 6… Read more »

WBA were better than swans and NCU, there strength was set pieces and that’s all they used to score, in fact there are too many too teams who play like this, Saints, Bournemouth to name a few, so we have to be careful. Benteke played better compare to the last games, but he is easy to mark, let’s see what Klopp does going forward with the tactics…

This season is getting crazier every week, except LCFC and Gunners, none of the teams look convincing, however if Vardy, Mahrez or Kante gets injured it’s interesting how they will perform

it’s high time , that Bogdan gets a chance , we are anyway gambling with Migs.

We have 11 more home matches this season, hopefully the crowd support only increases and we gain more momentum… YNWA

I only saw the highlights but its frustrating how we keep making the same errors conceding from set pieces. It was the only weapon West Brom had but they used it well. The quality of their delivery into the box is something our players should try to emulate. There were a few hopeful signs. Henderson getting into the box for the first goal is something we have been missing. Origi continued his good form when he came on. But we need to start winning games if we have any hope of a top four finish. We can’t rely on our rivals dropping points every week.

Set pieces is their main strength and our weakness. Looking at the stats, we created enough chances to outscore them. Lallana really should’ve scored with his chance. Playing Benteke just played into their hands. If we did a front three like how we played City, that may have worked too, especially in pegging them back and pressing from the front to defend against the counter.
